Day 1: Kampala - Jinja
You will be picked from hotel in Kampala/Entebbe by our company representative and drive you to Jinja where the mighty Nile begins its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. After a full safety demonstration, you will then have a full day adventure of white water rafting. Clients who will not go for rafting will visit the source of River Nile, Bujagali Falls, a drive around Jinja town observing the local people’s lifestyles, as well as old style buildings of the Asians. Drive back to Kampala for Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Jinja- Murchison falls
Begin the panoramic drive North West via Luwero triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a picnic lunch at the spectacularly situated site at the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its beauty. Transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Murchison Falls
Start the day with an early morning game drive on the Buligi, Albert or Queens tracks north of the river Nile. You will be able to view those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffe, antelope, lion, Elephant, and the Uganda Kob.
After lunch, you will go for a launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes to the bottom of the thundering falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, kingfishers, skimmers, fish eagle and the rare shoebill. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Murchison Falls – Fortpoartal
You will have breakfast in the morning and Drive to Kibale Forest National Park/Fort Portal for Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/Primate Lodge/Ataco country Lodge/Toro resort/ Crater Valley Kibale Guest House.
Day 5: Chimp Tracking /Evening Community Tour in the afternoon.
In the morning you will track chimpanzees after early breakfast and after having lunch, you will go for Nature walk-Bigodi Swamp or scenic viewing, Evening visit communities around. Dinner and overnight Ndali Lodge/Primate Lodge/Ataco country Lodge/Toro resort/ Crater Valley Kibale Guest House.
Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is a host to a large variety and volume of wildlife. It boasts one o the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park in the world, from the open Savannah to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. After checking in and having some time to relax, you will go for an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. This will give you the opportunity to view wildlife up close: hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. After this wonderful afternoon, a slow drive back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Chimps – Game drive
This morning we will leave for the 08.00am chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge. Expect to see various primates most especially Chimpanzee of different species, Black and white Colobus monkeys and other animals like antelopes, hyenas, Lion and many others in the middle of savanna grassland. This gorge is a home of very many bird species. In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive to the Kasenyi Area of the Park. Here you will be able to see numerous elephants as well as water hog, lion, hyena, Uganda kob, waterbuck and bushbuck as well as the salt lakes. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge/Katara Lodge/Ihamba or Simba Safari camp.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi
After breakfast, go for an early morning game drive with a magnificent view of the Rwenzori as backdrop provides an excellent opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. After the game drive you will then drive out of the park to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. Proceed to Bwindi Gorilla Park, the park that hosts over half of the world’s remaining population of the Mountain Gorillas. The park also inhabits about 348 bird species with the park hosting about 24 of the 26 Albertine endemics found in Uganda. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Buhoma Lodge/Engagi Lodge/Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 9: Gorilla Tracking Expedition:
After a hearty breakfast, report to the ranger station at 8:00 am and enter the gorilla sanctuary with the ranger guides for the most interesting activity in the world, Gorilla Tracking. The tracking activity takes between half an hour to about 8 hours thus, a steady pair of walking shoes is recommended as well as a reasonable degree of fitness. Sit in the dense rain forest for an hour seeing & hearing these delightful mountain gorillas grumble at each other. Return to the Lodge and if you have the afternoon free, take a guided community walk in neighbouring village. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Buhoma Lodge/Engagi Lodge/Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 10: Bwindi – Kampala:
After breakfast transfer to Kampala which marks the end of your safari.
